I was so sorry to hear of Jim's targic death in a headon collision. Jim lived two doors down from us in Oak Forest and our families were friends. The day I got my drivers license, I needed a licensed driver to go with me. None of my brothers were available so Jim went with me. His mother, Marie, was such a dear sweet woman. Marie used to work at the restaurant for Bill Williams and was actually the first person to cook with that famous beer batter. The water at the restaurant was out so she suggested using beer instead. I loved to hear this story. She also made my beautiful wedding cake when I got married. Rest in peace.
