Michael Hess

In loving memory of our dear classmate

Michael Hess
September 17, 1946 - September 21, 2021

Michael E. Hess, of Tomball, Texas, was born on September 17, 1946 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was greeted by his parents, sister and son who welcomed him into the Heavenly Realms and ushered him into the arms of Jesus on September 21, 2021.

Michael was raised in Houston, Texas where he enjoyed competitive swimming as a teenager.
He served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force from June 1968 to March 1972. Michael owned a furniture store early in his career and for the last few decades Michael invested in real estate. He worked hard so he could have time to play hard.

Michael loved his family and he loved his friends.  He was kind, generous, and always ready to make you laugh.  He was known for his love of fishing, muscle cars and practical jokes. Everyone who knew him had a “Michael” story guaranteed to make you laugh.  He enjoyed being on the water catching fish, being at a car show or taking care of his yard.

Michael was preceded in death by:
Ernest L Hess (father)
Mildred Cartence “Tinsey” Hess (step mother)
Elsie Hess (mother)
Michael P. Hess (son)
Leslie Purvis (William) (sister)
Susan Hill (step sister)

I will dearly miss Mike. He was one of my best friends. I spent a lot of time with Mike and Ernie growing up. My condolences to Ernie and his family.
