James Ellis Jarvis
1947-2023


James was born on December 4, 1946 in Madisonville, TX to Ellis B. and Vada Costella (Maddox) Jarvis. He served his country in The United States Army and worked in the construction industry for over fifty years. He was instrumental in the design of some of the most successful formwork systems in the industry. James was involved with many complicated projects all over the United States. His ability to meet contractor needs with engineering designs and solutions was something that he took great pride in. James was well known and respected throughout the country; his fifty years of knowledge will be sorely missed.
James was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Travis Jarvis. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cross Jarvis; his children, Tiffany Jarvis and Chris Jarvis; his grandchildren, JJ Short, Reece Jarvis, and Chase Jarvis; his sisters, Reba Wiese and Melba Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to your preferred charity.

James Ellis Jarvis of Spring, TX; 76 years, 9 months, 28 days; passed away in Te Woodlands, TX on Sunday; October 1, 2023. A celebration of James’s life is scheduled for 12PM on Saturday; October 7, 2023 at Willowhole Chapel in North Zulch, TX with the burial to follow at Willowhole Cemetery 12912 FM 1372 Road, North Zulch, TX 77872. Bro. Glenn Connor will officiate. The visitation is scheduled for Saturday beginning at 11AM.

So very sory to hear, James and I were good friends in HS, he was such a great guy! I alway remember his great smile.   God Bless james and his family!!
