“40 Years Past”

Her skin is smooth
From cheek
Along her neck and its recesses
Of shade and hollows

O so soft shoulders
Flow to arms holding me
More tenderly than my
Troubled tense body deserves

A waist so small it
Is hardly even there
But swells to breasts
As eloquent curves

Feel her excited breath
Upon my lips
As they barely
Brush with hers

A new definition of sex
For such a young boy
The slight caress of
Her lips exhilarate

Her legs
I can’t see them
In the darkness
Of the car’s back seat

But the press of them
Through our clothes
Their touch,
I have reached immortality

Her lips insist more firmly,
But with utmost innocence
Not sundered
By her passion

Tighter then we hold
Each other in our arms
Our kisses burn
We breathe faster

I shall never forget
This night or time
Nor ever, ever again
This most beautiful young
