Getting Started!

I'm asking for your creativity in developing this community effort. I will follow it if this technology allows me to do so. But if your ideas need vetting by a survey of the membership, then we'll take that path. So let's get started with some really fine opinions about how to run this operation. However, please remember. It's just my hobby! So you'll only get so much out of me. Ha. The more fun it is. The more you'll get!

I want to emphasize several startup items for this post.

  1. The art work in the top left corner comes from a template which I intend to change as photos from you and our own school history become available to this construction. I can promise that there'll be serious recognition of you Vietnam era veteran and other great contributing heros to our culture.
  2. I will contact the former Westbury Reunion site administrator for the purpose of acquiring the very fine data entries placed there. The site was discontinued by that party some time ago. To prevent that from occurring here, I will eventually bring on a group of administrators from the represented classes who will share control of the system in conjunction with me. But I will always guarantee it until of course, I've joined that great database in the real Cloud (hopefully in that direction don't you think?).
  3. I'll work with all of you to establish a small set of policies and procedures for this program's operation. However, one which will rule for a while asks that no one use this as a prospecting list for commercial activities other than you esprit de corps reunion styled non profit party organizers. And we will restrict access to our membership and their family members where appropriate, as in the instance of family members of our class friends being eulogized in the memorial section. Your ideas about all of this will be appreciated.
  4. Regarding user rules for publishing personal stories and making responses to others’, as the administrator and responsible party operating this site, I ensure that all posts are free of defamation, inappropriate disclosure and any items that may harm other persons and their reputations, living or deceased. If I find such postings, I will notify the writer of them and require immediate address according to the individual editing rules that I will impart at the time. Also, I have further defined the concept of inappropriate postings in the administrators’ operating guidelines section.

I will be adding posts to this forum as we all proceed.
