Geoff lived across the street from me. He was a newcomer to the neighborhood when we attended Johnston Jr. High. I had a crush on him, as I did other boys in the neigborhood and at school. He asked me to run for cheerleader to cheer him on. Though it was not at all something I would have done on my own, I did it for him. I did not make cheerleader but as I remember runner up. I didn't run for cheerleader at Westbury and wasn't even much of a football person but wished him well.
As always it is becomming more and more memorable to hear of the passing of our old school days friends. Geoff and his "little" brother Lee were members of a really great group of guys back in the day. We had some super times back then and everytime that one of the old gang goes home to be with our Lord it really brings those old memories back. As far as I'm concerned God got himself another good one. Lee, if you are out there please drop me a line. While I'm at it if anyone knows the whereabouts of Brenda White I'd be gratified to make the contact. Although it is just another part of life........death always brings about saddness.
