From Bob Merklein:
For his friend, our classmate of 1965,
Charles Dillon
Survived By: Mary Kathryn Dillon - wife Duke Charles Dillon - brother Sue Smith - sister Chris Dillon - son Suzie Dillon - daughter Anseth Dillon - sister
Charlie was a good friend that was a hard worker, building his own successful business, and still found time to enjoy boating, fishing, and spending time with family. He especially treasured the time he spent with his twin brother, Duke, who, through no coincidence, lived right next door. We used to reminisce about the days when we used to go surfing every weekend (almost every day during the summer) in my old Chevy II. Charlie always conveniently bought two-seater sports cars that were too small to haul the surfboards. Charlie, Duke (and Rick Keener at first) and I shared an apartment while we were going to the University of Houston, until they fell in love and got married. Charlie and I were good friends for over 50 years and never had a falling-out. They say you only have four or five people in your life that you can call a "best friend", and, proudly, Charlie was one of mine.
