"Diane Keffer McMinn, whose big heart and beautiful smile made such a lasting impression on everyone who knew her returned to her Lord on December 27, 2011.
She fought a courageous eight year battle with cancer with such grace & dignity. Diane was born in Wichita Falls, TX on July 24, 1947 to Merle & Fay (LaFever) Keffer & lived most of her life in the Houston area. In 1993 Diane met & married the love of her life Jack. Their life together was filled with family, travel, camping & quality times spent at their bay home in Port O Connor. In 2003 Diane retired from Conoco Phillips after a long career in the business world. Diane is preceded in death by her parents & niece Paige.
She is survived by her devoted husband Jack, her beloved son Eric Owen wife Charlotte; sister Linda Rode husband Norman; brother Steve Keffer wife Sally; "Sister cousin" Marcia Arndt; step children Tammy, Kym, Jeff & Aletta. Numerous other family members and lastly her precious & loving dog "Shortcake". Diane's grace & beauty touched all who had the joy of knowing her. She was the best kind of friend to many & was loved by all. Diane will forever be held in the minds & hearts of her friends & family. Friends are invited to a memorial service to be held in the chapel of Westbury United Methodist Church 5200 Willowbend Blvd, Houston, TX 77096 - 713-723-0175 on January 14, 2012 @ 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given in Diane's name to Westbury United Methodist Church or Houston Hospice, attn: Cynthia Nordt 1905 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030. Tributes to the family may be made to Westburyumc.org."
