After graduating from WHS in 1965, Nanci attended and graduated from Zorn Business School, then started work at Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corporation (Transco) in 1966. In 1969, she became a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines. She met Tom Durkin while flying and they married in 1970. After getting married, Nanci decided to keep her feet on the ground and became an employee of Shell Oil Company. In 1985, their daughter, Elizabeth was born. Nanci died peacefully at home in March 1991.

I remember spending the night with Nancy in 9th grade. We sat on her bed with our hair in big rollers and she wrote something on every single page of my yearbook while we laughed and laughed. To me, she'll always be young and laughing, as she was that night.
And her hair was always PERFECT!
