Don was a good friend to me and those who took the time to look past the facade of easy going and his appearance of reckless abandon.
He joined the Army and left the University of Houston during the first year. He also left before he was initiated in the Sigma Chi Fraternity. We briefly met again when he returned from Germay with his wife. Shortly after that, I stopped by his place of work one day to simply chat. He seemingly diappeared afterwards.
We enjoyed many good times during our Westbury era, on and off campus; I regret he passed without being able to share the memories with him one more time.
