I have a story about Joseph. It took place when he and I and a bunch of other students were taking an economics course from Henry Lyle. But I must tell it at another time.
My condolences to his family and you who were his friends on his passing. A fine man and contributor of high intellect to the rest of us at Westbury High School.

Because Joseph was not what you would call a very popular person and because I was even more shallow then than I am now, I did not make any effort to really be his friend. Looking back, I realize he had a lot to offer had I done so. I regret my actions now, and not with just him.Robert Morrell (1964)
Joseph was in my Economics class and he commanded a ton of respect from me and a lot of other people and was the most intelligent people in the class--and once someone referred to him
as a computer--which not much was known about then. I'll never forget him.

I remember Joseph as very smart. We talked. He told me once that he was going to be a banker. I don't know if he achieved this goal or not.
