While helping Roy Sanders search for our classmates I discovered that Bob Hackley had passed away in October of 2000.It was hard for me to believe.I was not able to locate an obituary for Bob so unfortunately I could not contact any of his family. Bob was in my homeroom class and I saw him every day. As discussed with another classmate Bob was like Mr. Cool or the “Fonz’ of the class of 1962.At least those were our impressions from the minds of 1962 high school seniors.
In the 1980’s another friend, Earl Johnson, class of 1963 discovered that we both knew Bob.We made plans to one day meet for lunch.That did not happen and I am sorry we did not follow thru with our plans.It would have been nice to see how Bob’s life had unfolded at that point.As my searching continues if I find an official obituary I will post it as well.
