MARK JOSEPH BARZILLA, 45, was called to The Lord on February 1, 2006. A native Houstonian, Mark was born to Charlie and Charlene Barzilla on January 1, 1961. A 1979 graduate of Westbury High School, he attended Southwest Texas State University. Mark, affectionately known as "Bear," was loved by all for his loving heart, his giving nature, and for generously sharing his passion for fishing with family and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his father Charlie Barzilla. Survivors include his loving mother, Charlene Barzilla, brothers Steve Barzilla and Chuck Barzilla and wife Lisa, sisters Kimberly Patella and husband Frank and Robbie Gussett and husband Joel; also six nieces and nephews: Charlie, Ashley, Amy, Kayla, Chris and Johnnie. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o'clock until nine o'clock in the evening on Monday, the 6th of February 2006 with a Biblical Wake Service at seven o'clock in the evening in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis and Sons, 1010 Bering Drive, Houston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at eleven o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 7th of February 2006 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10330 Hillcroft. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. After interment a reception will be held in the church Parish Hall.
