Joel Linn Trostle, 52, of Houston, Texas passed away Saturday April 26, 2014 after an extended illness.

Joel was born June 10, 1961 in Borger, Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Trostle, and survived by his father, Joe Trostle and his brother, Tim Trostle. He received a Bachelors in Chemistry from the University of Houston and held several chemical testing and research positions over the years including Texaco Research, Analysts, Inc and CESI. But his favorite job may have been the one he had in high school and college. Joel drove the steam locomotive at AstroWorld, where he developed many, many lasting and endearing friendships.
