John Charles Martin was my roomate for much of our time at Texas A&M. While we didn't know each other very well at Westchester, we soon became fast friends in the Aston dorm on the southside of the Aggie campus. Together with other Westchester alums (Greg Mathieu, Jim Thompson and others) and his cousin Brad Sinclair, we worked together to make Aston the greatest dorm on campus. We also could claim that together we probably had the largest album collection of any single dorm room. I can't really put into words the great times we had those years.
Very shortly after graduation, John succumbed to colon cancer at the age of 25 (1983). We have missed him for all of these years and to this day many of us still get together to wish his memory well. John, we love you and miss you. Gig 'em (and "quit messing with my stuff").
