Didn't know Michael as well as others in HS but always thought he was a nice guy. Had a few Advanced Chemistry/Physics classes with him. The guy was intelligent to say the least. Ran into him in 1988 in NY. We both worked for the same Architectural/Engineering Firm (SOM) at the time; Michael in NY and me in LA. Thanks to Susan Davis Bartlett I now know how he passed. God Bless him just the same............
I have great memories of fun times with Michael and a great group of kids disco dancing and going to school dances senior year. I spoke with him once when we were both living in NYC. Silly, silly we were both "too busy" to get together for a meal and catch up on old times. Sadly, Michael passed away from AIDS. My husband worked as a social worker at Roosevelt Hospital in NYC in the AIDS unit and we lost several actor friends from the disease. It is not a pleasant journey and I hope he didn't suffer long. I have thought of him often.
I have wonderful memories of Michael from way back at Bendwood. I remember him asking me to marry him in 3rd grade! He was such a sweetie - a kind and loving soul. I was so sorry to hear of his passing and I pray he didn't suffer =( God Bless you Michael
Michael and I were in school together from Bendwood Elementary to Memorial (then) Jr. High all the way through Westchester. He was a sweet man, and I always remember him with a smile on his face. God bless you, Michael.
I remember finding out that Mike passed away at our 20 year reunion. I kept asking where he was and when I was told, I just froze and couldn't focus on anything else. I spent the rest of the night watching the slideshow and thinking of him, tearing up.
Mike was so fun and real and entertaining and genuinely kind. I did not know him until high school - until we were in Chorale together, I guess sophomore year? He and John Buchanan would crack me up. I think everyone in chorale, as well as many many others miss him.
Out of all those I've known my whole life and all of those I met in high school, Mike has a very special place in my memory.
Even though it has more than 25 years since Michael died, I think about him very often. He was my best friend from 7th grade on and could always make me laugh. I miss you still, Michael.
So Michael died 33 years ago yesterday. So hard to believe. I still think of him often. I'll never forget going to visit hm when he lived in New York. It was one of my first trips there - and he really showed me a night on the town. WOW! I always thought it was so cool that he pursued his passion of being an architect and moved to NYC to take a job with a great firm. He was much braver than I was at that age.
