We had been trying to reconnect for some time, and had traded emails over the last six months. Although he had been battling cancer since 2010, he never mentioned he was sick. So I was shocked and saddened to read of his passing in an article in the Dallas Morning News. I had always known Rusty to be a modest, funny, sincere kind of friend. I've thought about it a lot over the last few weeks and it doesn't surprise me that he never let on about the cancer. Stewart House

I'm very sorry to here about Rusty. I went to Westchester Junior High with him and have fond memories of him. I remember playing basketball with Rusty and Richard Smith everyday during the summer of 7th grade. You will be missed buddy!!!!

Rusty Fenton was and is the most honorable person I have ever known and I am very proud to call him my best friend. He was a wonderful person, friend, husband and father who will be missed by everyone. We can all take comfort in knowing that Rusty was at peace with God when he left us. Rusty will be missed, but he will always be with us in our hearts and in our thoughts.
