I remember he was such a nonconformist--brilliant with words. Conversations with him always were interesting. I remember laughing with him a lot. I'm sad to hear he passed.
Steve definitely marched to the beat of his own drum and was such a creative, artistic soul! He was my best friend throughout the years, up until his unfortunate and untimely death. He is missed by many in Houston, especially his family, and his other "family" and friends in Austin, Texas.
Steve was one of the funnest people ever! I'll never forget the time we saw The New Barbarians (Keith Richard/Ron Wood/Stanley Clarke) together at the Houston Colesium (or was it the Summit?)- regardless, it was Epic! One of the best concert memories of my high school years. I think we saw ACDC together also (with Bon Scott!) Oh, Steve was so much fun. I always think of Amy Craddock when I think of Steve and I always think of music when I think about either of them. I was very sad when I learned Steve passed away.
