John Teague VIEW PROFILE

 

John Wheeler Teague passed away January 3, 2012. He was born in Houston July 1, 1966 to Robert A. Teague and Ann Wheeler Teague of Houston. He is preceded in death by his father.
John is survived by his wife, Kelly, and his children, Emily Brooke Teague, Jennifer Grace Teague, and Benjamin Lee Teague; mother, Ann Wheeler Teague; and brothers Robert Gregory Teague of Oakland, California, and James Christopher Teague of Kuching, Malaysia.
He is a graduate of Westchester High School, Class of 1984, and an honors graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, serving as Treasurer and chapter President. He received his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School, where he served as the Notes & Comments Editor for the Baylor Law Review. John was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1991. He was a member of the American Bar Association (Litigation Section), the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and the Houston Bar Association. He was an active member of the OU Club of Houston, serving as the Scholarship chairman. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul parish and sang in the choir for many years.
The family will receive visitors 6:00-8:00 p.m., with a service at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris St. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6 at 1:30 p.m., at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the John Teague Memorial Fund, established for the children, c/o Jimmy Tindall, 2312 Blue Bonnet Blvd., Houston, TX 77030; the OU Club of Houston Scholarship Fund, or Houston Hospice.

John, it seems like only yesterday we were skateboarding through the streets of our neighborhood.  And now you are gone from this world.  Thank you for your consistent goodness - and kindness - in your life's journey.  I send prayers of peace and love to you and to your family.
