Terri Denise Sopczak Milward passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her nieces after a brave fight against cancer on Wednesday April 10, 2024. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she was the daughter of Joyce McWhorter Sopczak and Chester Sopczak. She was greatly loved by everyone in her life and is missed dearly.

Terri was outgoing, funny, caring, and genuine. She met her husband, Mike Milward, at a friend’s party and they went on their first date on May 18, 1983. They were then married on February 14, 1992 and together, Terri and Mike enjoyed AKC Schutzhund training with their many German Shepherds and Rottweilers. Bowling, mountain biking and camping were among some of her favorite hobbies. Terri worked for David Weekly Homes before moving to Pahrump, Nevada with Mike where they had a beautiful home with an amazing view of Mount Charleston.

Terri is preceded in death by her brother, Russell; mother, Joyce; and husband Mike. She is survived by her sister, Sheri Eige and brother-in-law Ken; nieces, Erica Eige, Ginni Seale and her husband Michael; great nieces, McKinzie Cooper and her husband Chase, Katlyn Howard, Cassidy and Callie Seale.

Services were held in Houston at Forest Park Lawndale.
