My words cannot express the sadness I feel.

I found her obituary online in the Houston Chronicle dated Jan. 14, 2009.

Cecile Perry, born July 5, 1958 in Eagle Pass, Texas passed away quietly on January 11, 2009 in Houston, Texas after she lost her long battle to cancer. Cecile was employed at SBM Atlanta as a buyer. She was a lover of music, playing saxophone and piano, loved dancing and was a shootist. She was schooled in Alief where she grew up and made many lasting friends. Cecile is survived by her mother, Joan Denman; brother, Craig Perry; sister, Anita Holub; grandmother, Lenora Flowers; niece, Amber Holub and nephew, Eric Holub; and many loving friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Cecile will be missed

Cecil was one of the FIRST people I became friends with in Alief, as I moved there in the summer before we began first grade! She was in the neighborhood, was a school buddy, and came to my dress-up birthday party in June of 1962 or 64! I am sure we had numerous other memories throughout the years. Separated by distance and years, Cecil still  had the ability to lift my spirit simply when she walked in the door at our 25th class reunion! I was blessed to have known her.
