Xavier Gonzalez, a Navy veteran, died on September 8, 1995. He was 37 years old. 

Survivors include his parents, Efrain and Alicia Gonzalez of Houston; a brother, David Gonzalez of Houston; and two sisters, Dalia Neiderer of New Orleans and Sylvia Calvin of Sugarland. Rosary was recited on September 11 at Mora Funeral Home in Alice, Texas. Mass was celebrated on September 12 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in Alice. Burial took place in New Collins Cemetery, Alice.
