Greg Loftin attended Alief Hastings High School. He served in the United States Marines from 1976 to 1980 as a helicopter crew chief and attained the rank of Corporal. He was survived by his parents Royal and Carolyn Loftin, his wife Kathy Loftin, son Terry, daughter Brittany, sister Teresa Loftin Scarpato, brother Ronald Loftin, and step-sister Debra Jordan and a host of relatives and friends.
