Mary Ann Churchill Kent

                     1948 - 2000

Mary Ann Churchill was born March 21, 1948 in Hunt County, Texas.  She passed away after a long battle with brain cancer on June 21, 2000.
She was the daughter of Charles William Churchill (1918-1990) and his wife, Billie Laverne McHenry Churchill (190-2010).   
After high school, Mary Ann attended Southern Methodist University.  She married Samuel B. Kent on Sept. 28, 1969 in Harris Co., Texas.

Mary Ann Kent, 52, beloved wife of Samuel B. Kent, died June 21, 2000, after a long, courageous battle with brain cancer.

Loved and admired by all who knew her, she will be deeply missed. Following high school in Houston and college in Dallas, she taught art and music and became an accomplished photographer, artist, potter, guitarist and writer. Besides art and music, she enjoyed travel, flowers and life.

She is survived by numerous, grieving family and friends, who thank her doctors, nurses and therapists for her excellent care.

A memorial service will be held, following cremation, at Moody Memorial Methodist Church, in Galveston, at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2000.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests donations to M.D. Anderson Brain Tumor Institute.
