Arthur Uhlmann

    1948 - 2002

Arthur James Uhlmann was the son of Arthur Max Uhlmann (1921-1977) and his wife, Helen Schmechel Uhlmann (1923-2000).  His father nationally award-winning photojournalist, Arthur Max Uhlmann.  He was a photopgrapher for the Houston Chronicle and was on a journalist bus in President Kennedy's motocade in Dallas, Texas on Nov. 22, 1963.  

Arthur was born in Wisconsin and moved with his family in 1960 to Houston, Texas. 
He had two brothers; James Richard Uhlmann(1949-2016), SWHS class of 1968 and John Arthur Uhlmann (1958-2001), SWHS class of 1976. 

Arthur passed away July 17, 2002 in Texas.  He was 54 years old.
