Fred Hudish

Thomas Frederick Hudish, 76, of Cornwall, PA, passed away Friday evening, October 6, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center. He was born in Morann, Clearfield County, PA, on April 11, 1941. He was the son of the late Michael Hudish and Anne Rosella Shedlock Hudish. Fred was the husband of Linda Dorland Porter Hudish, whom he married June 22, 1963 at Castle AF Base, CA. 
Fred graduated from Moshannon Valley High School in Houtzdale, PA. He served as the president for the class of '59. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served during the Vietnam Era from 1959 to 1963. After the US Air Force Fred joined AT&T Long Lines and later joined 
the AT&T International Market where retired as a Managing Director in the Asia Pacific Rim. After retirement from AT&T he worked as a private international communications consultant. He was a past president of the Jaycees in the state of New York. Fred enjoyed spending time with family, especially the grandchildren. Hunting, fishing and golf were his special interest. 
Fred, is survived by his wife of 54 years Linda, by a daughter, Tamara Lynne, wife of Kenneth Powell, Jr of Elizabethtown, by a son, Jeffrey Alan, husband of Josephine Proctor Hudish of Whitehouse Station, NJ, his grandchildren, Garrett Hudish, Jenna Powell, Dustin Powell and Logan Hudish. Additional survivors are his sister Carol, wife of Joseph Muraski, of Pleasant Plain, OH, his brothers, Daniel, husband of Teri Hudishof Nazareth, Timothy, husband of Renee Hudish of Ramey, and David, husband of Maria Hudish of Ramey. Fred was preceded in death by a brother Eugene Michael Hudish. 
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Fred's Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM from Scared Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Cornwall, PA. A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Dr., Lebanon, 17042. There will be a viewing Thursday at the church from 9:00 AM to time of Mass. Interment will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors.
