Some of you might remember my brother, Marty. He was originally in the Class of '87 but didn't have enough credits to graduate (I think he did it on purpose so he could go to school one more year!) Seems like he just didn't want to grow up - he enjoyed the social aspect of high school way too much. So, he graduated with us in '88.

One thing you might or might not know is that he actually drew the logo for the '87 and '88 T-shirts - the ones we wore to pep rallies. He was a talented artist but never liked to admit it. Most of the girls loved him since he was friendly and "soooo hot" as they would tell me, much to my disgust! LOL! To me he was just my brother - hated him one day, loved him the next. If you have a sibling, you know what I mean.

We lost Marty in a car accident in 1989. He was one of those people who refused to wear a seatbelt. And this is definitely a case where it might have saved his life. In a way, he got his wish in that he never wanted to grow "old". I miss him a lot and have been told the same by many others. He is buried next to our mother, near Mineral Wells, Texas - which is where he was born. It's only about a 20 minute drive from where I live, so I can visit them often.

Rest in Peace, Marty. I love you and miss you. Take care of Mom for Dad and me...until we all meet again.
