Don Chittum

WILLIAM "DON" CHITTUM, 75, of Barboursville, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Pastor John Yeager. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Don was born September 16, 1941, in Huntington, a son of the late Jack and Gerry Bowley Chittum. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a retired employee of INCO and was a manager of the American Legion #177 for several years, also active in Golden Gloves, and involved with the Barboursville Little League for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Everett Chittum, and is survived by his wife, Joy Chittum; one daughter, Elizabeth Smith of Parker, Colo.; two sons, Michael Chittum of Wilmington, N.C., and David Chittum of Barboursville; two stepchildren, Jon Dingess and Kristie Dingess; one sister, Katherine Renee Chittum of Conway, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barboursville Little League, P.O.
