LARRY P. ADKINS, 62, of Huntington. Larry was born in the west end of Huntington on July 13, 1941. He died at St. Mary's Medical Center on January 15, 2004. In between, he enjoyed a great zest for life. He was married to the former Rita Robinett for 41 years. Larry took great pleasure in his family and their accomplishments. He had an extraordinarily close relationship with his brother, Brooks. They both took up golf in their 30s and quickly developed a great love for the game and their friends. His parents preceded him in death: Alton B. and Sylvia Mae Owen Adkins. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Entombment will be at Woodmere Memorial Park. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-law: Norman and Heba Adkins of Atlanta, Ga., and Larry Adkins of Huntington; two daughters and a son-in-law, Teresa Adkins of Huntington and Ashley and Jody Johnson of Barboursville; five grandchildren, Katie and Nicholas Johnson, Hannah, Danny and David Adkins; one brother and sister-in-law, Brooks and Jenny Lou Adkins of Cleveland, Ohio.
