GENE R. HALL 
On Friday, March 1st, 2013, Gene Raymond ‘Big Red’ Hall, went to join his dearly departed friends and relatives in heaven. Gene was born on October 20th, 1941 in Detroit, MI but was soon relocated to Huntington , WV. He was very active in athletics, excelling in baseball and football, landing him a baseball scholarship to Marshall University. Duty called and he left Marshall to join the Air Force where he completed a training program in data processing and computer programming. His training allowed him to gain employment in the banking industry and led to eventual move to Waterbury, CT in 1970. He worked for Centerbank until he retired in 1995 as the Senior Vice President of the Information Services Group and made a home in Naugatuck, CT for 24 years before relocating to Roanoke County, VA in 2003, where they have made many friends. 
Gene was a devoted husband of 31 years, and is survived by wife Pamela (Marceau) Hall. He was also a loving father and is survived by his son Barry Hall of Melbourne, FL, granddaughter Cody; son Jeffery Hall of Aurora, CO wife Theresa, grandchildren Joshua, Joey, and Jackson, step-grandchildren Jenny, Danielle, and Blake; son Jeremy Hall of Patterson, NY and grandson Jeremy Jr. Also surviving are Gene and Pamela’s children, son Gregory Hall of Matthews, NC, wife Alexandra and grandson Lucas; daughter Sarah of Torrington, CT husband Joseph Prout and grandson Ethan. He is also survived by a sister Marlene and husband Ken Kirby of Cincinnati, OH, and brother James Hall of Huntington, WV, and many adored nieces and nephews. Gene is predeceased by father Roy Hall, his beloved mother Birdie Maxine (Thacker) Cole and Barry Hall’s eldest daughter Brianna.
