KITTIE UMSTEAD KLEIN died in Huntington April 10, 2008 after a short illness. She was born December 9 1941. After graduating from Huntington High School Kittie attended the University of Kentucky School of Nursing and graduated in 1962 from the Marshall University School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Mary's Medical Center for 29 years, retiring in November 2007. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and David Jenkins. her son and daughter-in-law, Joshua David and Hannah Elizabeth Umstead. Kittie was a member of Trinity Episcopal Chiurch where she served for many years in the Altar Guild.We remember Kittie from HHS for her role as vice president of the Future Teachers, a member of the GAA, the Tennis Club, and the Torch Society.
