Janice "Jan" Valentine Bodie:

Emma Janice “Jan” Bodie passed away peacefully on July 8th, 2020. She courageously fought a battle with cancer. She was born on January 19th, 1941 and was the oldest of six. Jan, as she liked to be known, is survived by her husband, Lou, brother and sister George & Florence, children Ginger, Laura, & Mark. She had grandchildren and great grandchildren for days. Christopher, Tiffany, April, Ethan, Emma, Brett, Christopher, Kayla, Selena, Andrea, Alex, Sophie, Olivia, and AJ.

 Jan graduated from Huntington High School in 1959 and attended classes at Miami of Ohio University. Jan was active in supporting others in her community. She loved to cook and God help you if you touched the good scissors, or you'd get the wooden spoon. A memorial service was held at Albert G. Horton's Veteran's Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia at 2 pm on July 31st. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
