Walter Scott Johnson, 54, of Huntsville passed away Saturday.
Mr. Johnson was an artist, songwriter and loved the outdoors. He also had a lot of talent in his early life playing baseball.
He is preceded in death by his father, Houston Perry Johnson Jr. Survivors include his son, Zachary Johnson and wife Kimberly; daughter, Lillie Johnson; four grandchildren, Elijah, Micah, Ava Ruth and Isaac; mother, Mary Jane Brunette and husband Kenneth Brunette; brothers, Houston Perry Johnson III and wife Beverly, Timothy Jay Johnson and wife Angela; several nieces and nephews; stepbrother, Randy Brunette and wife Cindy; and stepsister, Wendy Brunette all of Huntsville
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Whitesburg Baptist Chapel South Campus. The funeral services will follow at noon Wednesday at Whitesburg Baptist Chapel South Campus with the Rev. Emerson Lyle officiating. Burial will be in Buringtree Memorial Gardens of Morgan County. Laughlin Service Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Active pallbearers will be Houston Perry Johnson III, Timothy Jay Johnson, Noah Johnson, Daniel Johnson, John Johnson, and Paul Johnson.
