
Regina Lynn McLaney Dickerson of Valhermosa Springs, AL passed away on May 16, 2013 after a serious illness. She was preceded in death by her mother Marie Shipley McLaney of Harvest, AL, and sister, Deborah M. McLaney Watts Alexander of Huntsville, AL. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jerry W. Dickerson of Valhermosa Springs, AL; her father, Reginald W. McLaney of Harvest, AL; sisters, Stacy M. Spadafora of Washington, DC; and Stephanie M. Marti (Scott) of Humble, TX; sister-in-law, Peggy D. Davis (Larry) of Valhermosa Springs, AL; brother-in-law, Barry Dickerson (Kathy) of Valhermosa Springs, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Lynn, a native of Huntsville, graduated in 1975 from Huntsville High School, where she had been a member of the Navy JROTC. She received her Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) 1 Certificate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham; and worked as a printer technician for the University of Alabama at Huntsville.
She was an active, 35+ year member of the First Christian Church of Huntsville, where she was also a member of the choir. Lynn's funeral will take place on Monday, May 20, 2013, at 11:00, at the First Christian Church, 3209 Whitesburg Drive, Huntsville, AL 35802, with Pastor, Dr. Guy McCombs, officiating. Visitation will precede the funeral at 10:00 at the church, followed by internment at Maple Hill Cemetery.
