Karen Weitenbeck Mitchell, 45, of Huntsville, died Tuesday. She was an active member of Memorial Parkway Church of Christ. She worked in the business department at Doris Lee Draperies for the past 10 years. Her parents, Ralph and Peggy Weitenbeck preceded her in death. Karen was a devoted mother, sister and aunt.

Survivors include her son, Scott Mitchell of Huntsville; brother, Jeff Weitenbeck of Huntsville and two nieces, Brooke Weitenbeck and Abbey Weitenbeck. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Laughlin Service. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. at Memorial Parkway Church of Christ with John Denney and Paul Spurlin officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Memorial Parkway Church of Christ, 3703 N. Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, 35810.
