John H. White, 55, Huntsville, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church, Huntsville, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation was Monday at Laughlin Service. Officiating at the service will bethe Rev. Coy Hallmark and the Rev. George W. Hayes.

He taught art at Huntsville High School for 29 years in the same room. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He served as an officer in the Alabama Art Education Association and the National Art Education Association.

Survivors include his wife, Cora Pitsinger White, Huntsville; several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the building fund of the First United Methodist Church in his memory.
