I meet the McCoys who moved the same time our family did in a new neighborhood off Grizzard Rd. We went to West Mastin Lake then Butler. I remained a friend with Bobby after high school until his death. Bob moved to Oregon in 1976 to join his older brother Jim. He got a degree in appliance repair in 1979 and moved to Corvallis in 1998, and worked in electronic design until he retired in 2008 after a bout with throat cancer. He married in 1983 to Wendy but divorced in 1994, but remained devoted to each other throughout his life. He dealt with a 4 year recurring struggle of cancer till his death. He loved his dogs and was fond of motorcycles. He was a big fan of Jethro Tull, YES with all of the music of Jon Anderson, The Beatles, and Elton John. Bobby turn me on to the best music of great artists especially in high school. I miss our long phone calls and his laughter. I will treasure knowing him, our friendship, our history of so many years together, who I had loved.
