In Memory

Lisa Ann Hoard (Johnson)

Lisa was an RN at Huntsville Hospital and is survived by her husband, Zarl Johnson.

"Lisa and I spent a lot of time together on Shannonhouse Rd as we grew up. Although we had little contact after we went off to college, I thought of her frequently. Lisa was the maid of honor at my wedding."

Classmate Lisa Ann Hoard (Johnson) will be absent our 40th class reunion by only a few months, having been called to heaven this very year. She was born September 16th, 1956 and left us on 22 March 2014 at the age of 57.  She is our reminder that nothing is guaranteed and we should savor every day we have remaining with our friends and families. This year we will remember and honor our missing classmates at the reunion, and Lisa will be among them. So long friend, good journey. Below is her obituary. She is buried at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Please feel free to add to Lisa's story here.

heartI am sadden to read of Lisa's passing. Just last year 2013  our paths crossed. I was going into surgery and Lisa was there at Huntsville Hospital to calm my nerves. We spoke of our GHS days and mutual classmates. Rest in Peace Lisa!

I missed seeing Lisa's smiling face at our reunion. I knew Lisa and her Brother and sister for many years since I was a child and was deeply saddened to learn of her passing. She was a dear friend, always quick with a nice thing to say. I also knew here from Shannonhouse Road where my family was friends with the Sloans who lived two doors down, the morelli's who lived up the street bit, Cheryl Crawford and Cole Shriner who also lived on the street. Lisa's passing was a Total shock to me as I always enjoyed being around her. She will be missed.

I was life long friends with Lisa Hoard given that she lived a few houses down from the Sloan family who were close to our family and that we visited often. I knew all her brothers and sisters as well. Lisa was a sweetheart, always shared a smile and was just a very kind person. Her passing was a real shock to me when I learned of it as I had to ask about 3 times if this was the same Lisa that I knew. Once again someone passing to early. I will always remember Lisa as one of the kindest, friendliest person and reunions just do not seem right without her around. She will be missed.
