James Tschetter was born October 23, 1969, to Gerald and Judy Tschetter at Huron. He grew up in the Huron area and graduated from Huron High School in 1989. He attended Lake Area Vo-Tech after high school and then worked for Picek Construction. From December 1992 until he became sick this past July he worked at Terex as a Machinist. His biggest passion was the family farm where he also worked up until the day he became sick.
On July 3, 1992, James married Lisa Kimmet at Fairmont, Minnesota. They made their home in Huron on Beach Street where they lived all of their married life. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Church, where he was baptized on September 27, 1987, and later served as a trustee at the church.
James liked to work on his farm, and go fishing, hunting, and camping. He enjoyed watching his daughters participate in all of their activities; and loved teaching them and other children he knew to love and respect the farm as he did. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his family and his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his father; one cousin, Jay Tschetter; three uncles, Jerry, Larry and Trevor Tschetter; one brother-in-law, Scott Broders; and his grandparents, Elizabeth and Alfred Tschetter, Eddie Tschetter, and Katie and Mike Waldner.
