I got to know Brad while working on the student newspaper. He was the editor and took it very seriously. He was extremely smart, professional, and motivated for someone still in high school. I can still picture him sitting in journalism class with kleenex stuffed up his nose because he had a cold but needed the use of his hands for writing. He wasn't about to let blowing his nose get in the way! It sounds like he went on to do important things after high school and I know that is probably not a surprise to anyone who knew him. My sympathies go out to his family.

Brad and I enjoyed being adversarial friends, always competing for 1st trombone chair. He was the first person I ever knew who owned a cd. He brought it to Mr. Simpson's band room and let us look at it, told us cassette tapes would be history soon. He was interesting, smart and driven and a very, very good friend who had much to offer this world. Brad, you are missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Brad's death. He was one of the smartest people I knew in high school, and was one of those people who knew a little something about everyone..and everything. Seems like his journalism career suited him well. We will miss you!

Brad was one of my closest friends from Hutch High and I continued to bond with him up until his death. I have a great amount of respect for him and I still think about the incredible loss.
