Hey guys. I wanted to see what everyone's ideas are for our reunion. I have talked to a couple of people, and wanted to see what you guys were thinking? I was thinking maybe we kick things off on Friday night with a happy hour, we can just catch up and relax and talk. We can get a block of rooms for those coming from out of town, and maybe have the Friday night festivities at the hotel? Saturday, maybe a dinner somewhere in Lubbock, just something informal, to catch up, and talk and just have a good time. Not sure about Saturday during the day, any suggestions? I think everyone would enjoy just a casual, informal weekend to catch up. Thoughts? Also, what about a date? It will be great to see everyone again!

Several people have told me August is the only time they could attend.

Most people are flexible on dates.

We need to realize we probably won't be able to pick a date that works for everyone. We just need to pick one that works for a very large number of people.

I agree with August, lot of people travel in June and July, and have lots going on in those months.

I agree and I was just thinking of those dates this morning...Early August would probably be best. That way we can put it on our calendars and possibly book something. Now we just need some ideas!

I have talked to some of you and here is a dinner plan for Saturday night. I have talked to Cagle's Steakhouse, and we can rent the Cookhouse, it is a nice building, has swings on the front porch, a horseshoe pit, etc.. We can have the building from 5-10 pm. We can have a steak dinner with baked potato, salad, sides, and dessert. The cost with tax and tip included is $62 per couple, or $31 per person. You can pay your money on Friday night when we have our happy hour/get together, or on Sat. night. They will set everything up for us, and clean up afterwards. It books up quickly, and there is a $200 deposit, which gets credited to the bill, so we will need to make a decision very soon. There is a $1000 food minimum, so we need to have at least 16 couples attend or 32 people total. Right now we have 33 saying they will attend, that does not include spouses, so that would roughly be 60 people or so. The deposit is not refundable, so we will need to get a headcount very soon. If you can message me and let me know you will for sure be attending, I can get a firm headcount and book it. Just let me know asap! <br>

As for Friday night, we are planning a kickoff happy hour,location TBD. This will be a casual deal, and if you don't drink or don't want to, you don't have to, it will just be a nice way to catch up and talk. If you have any suggestions for a good place, let me know that as well. <br>

Also, if you will be coming in from out of town, and would want to stay at a hotel, or if you are in town and just want to stay in a hotel, let me know, and I can see if I can get a deal on a block of rooms. I will need to know that asap as well.<br>

Saturday, I believe we will do something in the park where, if you want, you can bring your family and kids, maybe we can do it over lunch, and you can bring your own lunch, ideas are appreciated! <br>
