Jerald Elmer Averill, Jr.
Jerald Elmer Averill Jr., 38, of Nampa (Idaho) passed away Friday December 6, 1996, at his home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 1996, at Alsip Funeral Chapel. Cremation will then take place under the direction of Alsip Funeral Chapel.

Jerry was born August 1, 1958, in Fort Hood, TX. As a military child he was reared and educated all over the world. He graduated from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, IN, in 1976, then joined the U.S. Army shortly after graduation. He also graduated from Boise State and worked as a welder for Skystar in Nampa.

He is survived by his parents, Jerald Sr. and Etta Averill; his sisters Carla Anderson and Gail Bundy of Nampa; a brother Dai and Deborah Averill of San Leandro, CA; his girlfriend Barbara Pierce; nieces and nephews Chryssa, Chad, Ethan and Kimber Anderson, Zachary Bundy and Justin Powell, ex-wife Shawna and daughter Amanda of The Dallas, OR. He has several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Carl and Mamie Averill of Nampa and James B. Hampton II of Bruneau, ID, two uncles and three aunts.

He was never without his bandanna, a big smile and his wonderful sense of humor. He loved recreation and helping others. He will be missed very much by all his family and friends.

The family suggests donations be made to the Idaho Youth Ranch, PO Box 8538, Boise, ID 83707.
