Janet Nichols Cox
June 2, 1958 - February 18, 2025

Janet Nichols Cox, 66, passed away on February 18th, 2025. She was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late James and Rose Nichols, preceded in death also by brother Michael.

Janet’s down-to-earth spirit, listening ear, generous humor, and empathetic heart resonated with those whose life she touched, and her authentic insights brought a sense of hope and healing to the friendships she fostered, to her family, and to those she counselled professionally as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Substance Abuse Professional. She most recently served as a Military Family Life Counselor at McConnel Air Force Base in Wichita.

She leaves behind her husband, Stanley M. Cox, and her sisters Penny Pendleton and Nancy Evans.

She was a devoted mother to son Geoffrey Cox, and the two children, who came with her marriage to Stan and whom she lovingly raised as her own. Janet was also the proud and adoring grandmother of Shane, Brady, Finn, Dillon, & Ella, and Adi Rose.

She will be dearly remembered by her other family members, friends, and colleagues.
