Services for Randy Wark, 60, who died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 2 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Cremation will follow with burial in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery at a later date.

Randy was born July 22, 1950 in Spirit Lake, IA to William (Bill) and Esther Wark. He lived in Arnolds Park, IA until 1964 when the family moved to Indianola, IA. Randy graduated from Indianola High School and the Des Moines Area Community College with a degree in Auto Mechanics.

Randy married the love of his life, Sandra Edgington on March 21, 1970. He worked in the auto industry his entire working career holding several different positions, including mechanic service manager and service advisor. He was last employed at Ramsey Auto Group as a Mazda Service Advisor. His greatest joy in life was his family, both immediate and extended and his friends. Randy's abundance of love will continue through his beloved family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandy; children, Brandon Wark, Belinda (Brandon) Howard; grandchildren, Jana, Jace and Jack Howard; mother, Esther Wark; brothers, Ron (Beverly) Wark and David (Roxanne) Wark; brother-in-law, Gary (Christen Carlton) Edgington; sisters-in-law, Joan (Gary) Vanderwerff, Ruth (Boyd "Gene" Plowman) Edgington, Nancy (Kevin) McKasson; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that meant so much to him.

As Randy enters the gates of eternal life, he will be met by his father, Wm (Bill) Wark; mother and father-in-law, Nora and Virgil Edgington; and his beloved dog, Riley who all passed before him.

Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, May 1 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials may be given to the John Stoddard Cancer Center. On-Line condolences may be made to www.overtonfunerals.com.
