Celebration of life services for James "Jim" Norris, 64, who passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in DM, IA. will  be held at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  

He is survived by his 4 children and  6 grandchildren; brothers, Mike and Merrill; sisters, Debbie and Becky.  He is preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter Carrie Ann.

Jim grew up in Indianola.  He went to work for Iowa Machinery, Clark Lift, and then joined his parents at Norris Auto and took over the business after their retirement in 1994.  In 2006, he opened AJ's Service in Carlisle.  He spent the majority of his life working on vehicles and serving the communities he loved up to the time of his passing.  Jim was a hot air balloon pilot, car, and drag racing enthusiast.  He loved to travel and spent time with his grandkids when he could.
