I had the honor of serving as Lt. and Capt. of Co.3 under Herm from 1964-1970. He was a great firefighter and leader of men and always had your back. Rest in peace brother, you served your community well. Charles (Chuck) Howley

Hello, I am Herman Mueller's daughter and I appreciate the post from Chuck Holley. I remember him and did babysit for his children. I want to comment back to him if possible. I was able to speak to Bill Doran at the service for my Father. It was good to see him. So many of the names listed in memoriam I remember, in particular John Holtz. Also I remember the picnics at the exempts and the pony rides. My Father loved fighting fires and he had to tell me to get out of the back seat of the car when he jumped in to respond. The fire radio was in the kitchen below my bedroom and I would wake up at the tone, I remember praying for him. I have a fond memory of the smell of smoke on his gear. Love to all of you that serve.
