Santa Ana winds today so we sailed a reverse course. Something different but it didn't slow down either Pete or Shoe. Bert would have wound up in third for the day except for not competing in one of the races. Results for the entire fleet are shown below.

Thanks to Don for conducting today's event.

The weather was perfect for the V32, sunny and very breezy.  John did a great job as race director, the regatta went very smoothly and nobody got their panties in a wad over disagreements.  Hats off to all of the skippers for conducting themselves in a very Corinthian manner.  Best regatta of the year!!!!

Bragging rights for the day go to Pete, Shoe and Don Richtenburg for their first, second and third place finishes, respectively. Results for the entire fleet are shown below:

Not a very good day breeze wise for the final V32 points race of the season but we did have a fairly large field. Thirteen skippers competed. Those that mastered the light breezes were Shoe, Bill Ostic and Al Robertson who took first, second and third places for the day. Results for all the participants are shown below:

Thanks to V32 Race Director, Erwin deRoggenbuke for conducting today's event and to Don Frakes for assisting.

Results for the series:

The first and second place winners couldn't have been much closer. For their best 30 races Pete and Shoe each had a total of 38. The tie breaker didn't come until eleven races later. Up to the best of 40 races both still had second place finishes. In the 41st race Pete had a third place finish while Shoe still had a second. Accordingly, first place goes to Shoe with Pete taking second. The race was tight for third place too. Al Robertson had 109 points and I, Fred, had 110.

Congratulations to Shoe, Pete and Al for their first, second and third place finishes in the 2011 V32 Points Race Series.
