This news breaks my heart. Brenda was an amazing person, a beautiful spirit, and always so wonderful to me.

Although I shall miss her, the good news is that i know that she is with God. Therefore, I will see her again.

I pray to God the Father that the Hankins' family will be given a double portion of his peace that surpasses all understanding.  (Phillipians 4:7)  ...and, that they may fully come to know this ordinance of God: "If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." Romans 14:8

Rest in Peace, Brenda. May you always have fair winds and following seas!

There were a few of us who went to 1st grade at JO Shultz, then to Good for 2-6 then Bowie and IHS.  Brenda and I followed the same pathway for all 12 years.  She was always a kind and sweet person.

Thank you all for your kind comments. Brenda was my dear, sweet cousin; we were exactly one week apart in age. We never missed texting each other birthday wishes - it was easy for us to remember!

Going to the same high school and graduating together was pretty cool. She was so active in events and she kept me apprised of what was happening. I have been trying to remember if I ever saw Brenda at any time when she wasn't smiling. Always a beautiful heart and had positive, funny things to say. From an extended family member, she will be greatly missed. We are thankful that she is no longer suffering and now at peace with God.

I remember my freshman year at IHS. I had Brenda in one of my classes and you could immediately tell how genuine and kind a person that she was. I was extremely shy and introverted but Brenda reached out and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I will always cherish her friendship a d I will truly miss her.
