Pam Ivy was not deceased at the time of this writing but in a nursing home in Wylie.
In 1983, after attending some softball games at Nimitz, she was hit by a car while crossing the street. She suffered a spine injury and lost motor functions of her extremities. After much painful therapy, she has somewhat regained the use of her hands, but as you might expect, it's not like it used to be.
She seems to remember her past or at least parts of it. Pam has been confined to a bed for close to 27 years and since her mother passed away, she has had very little visitation.
Sharing your memories of Pam (below) is very appreciated.
Update from Chism Smith Funeral Home
Pamela Eilleen Taylor
July 25, 1952 - December 31, 2014
Pamela Eilleen Ivy Taylor, 62, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on December 31, 2014 in Georgetown. She was born July 25, 1952 in San Angelo, TX to James W. and Cora Maudie Ivy, they preceded her in death. She grew up in Irving where she attended Irving High School graduating in 1970. Pam was a member of the Irving High School Toy Tigers drill team, elected sweetheart of the Track Team and chosen class beauty. She was on the Debs Softball Team in the IGSL who took the Texas State Title and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Irving. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing and playing softball as a teenager. Pam loved her children and family and found joy in the simple things most of us take for granted like a touch or a smile. Pam especially loved a visitor and the sound of laughter was music to her ears. She had great purpose in this life teaching us all the importance of loving and caring for each other. Pam loved life all the way to the end, we are all so blessed to have had her in our lives. Survivors include daughters, Tracy Brown and partner Chris Coldiron, Brandy Taylor Igo and husband Nathan; sister, Patricia Kinney(Gordon); brothers, Jim Ivy (Karen) and Jeff Ivy; Grandchildren, Amanda Brown, Courtney Whitten, Harmony Coldiron, Heather Taylor and Tori Igo, Great-Grandchildren, Cadence Wagoner, Johnna Coldiron, Carter Whitten, Carmella Esparza and Hector Jimenez; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5th at Chism-Smith Funeral Home with interment following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.

WOW You never know who's life you touch and not aware that is why you need to inspire everyone you know. Pam was so nice to me, I was a tomboy not very outgoing. My Family could not afford much but people like Pam are Angels, They make you feel like you are Loved There are Angels that come in your path of Life.We do not know why bad things happen to good People but we go through our trials with Faith and Know that God has a plan. Jeremiah 29:11.
He knows the plans he has for our lives.
You will always be a special memory from High School.
I am Praying for you

Such a wonderful and loving person you always were. I hate it so that you are unable to be up and doing all the nice and a little crazy, things that you loved. Know you are in my prayers and I care, if I lived closer I could visit and enjoy a nice chat God bless you sweetie, Sheila

Is Pam in Wylie? Did she get moved? Last October 2010, at the class reunion, a few of us girls went over to the nursing home by the old 183 drive in theater and visited with Pam. It's off of Shoaf or Shoal Drive just south of the 183 Hwy,

Pam, I and two other seniors (don’t recall their names) escaped Irving High in May of 1970 in my 1957 Ford for lunch at the great old restaurant Steak-Out, located as I recall in the Plymouth Park shopping area on Storey Road. Still have Pam’s comments in my 1970 yearbook. Great memories. Sorry to hear of her passing.

So sorry to hear of her passing, I was not in Pam's group, but I remember how sweet she was, always smiling and nice to anyone she met..you will be missed .....I know you are at peace and smiling down on us all....

So sorry you are gone; however, glad you are in a better place now. Your accident was tragic and devastated your quality of life. I'm so glad I got to rub hand lotion on you when I visited with Denise a few years ago. You seemed to enjoy the lotion and managed a big smile. Remember the rest of us as well. Everyone always thought highly of you for good reasons. Rest in peace, love, Vernene Parker Finger
