Services for Lene' Nuckols, 51, will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 26,
2003, at Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview with the Rev.
Scott Schulik officiating. Lene' passed away peacefully at her
home on Dec. 22 after a long battle with cancer.
Piper Lene' Henry was born Nov. 5, 1952, in Lubbock. She
graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving, and received a
degree in elementary education from Texas Tech. Lene' was a
kindergarten teacher at First Methodist's School for Little
Children, and she was a children's Sunday school director at
Mobberly Baptist Church. She taught a generation of children
how to read and love the Lord, two of the greatest gifts that
anyone can give. Her faith in the Lord was a source of
strength and encouragement to her family, her friends and to
everyone who knew her.
Lene' is survived by her husband of 26 years, James W. 'Bill'
Nuckols; her children, Janai Nuckols of Irving and David
Nuckols of Missoula, Mont.; her mother, Georgia Joyce Monkres
and husband Gene Monkres of Arlington; her brother Zane Henry
of Lubbock; her father R.C. Henry of Lubbock, and her aunts,
uncles and friends.

WOW!!!! This is a shocker. I was not aware of Lena's passing. She was ALWAYS so sweet to me in school and fun to be around. I send my sympathy's to her family and know that one day you will see her again.
I miss you my friend....I think of you often and remember all the laughs and good times we shared.
