Lene' Nuckols

Rosewood Cemetery

Services for Lene' Nuckols, 51, will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 26,

2003, at Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview with the Rev.

Scott Schulik officiating. Lene' passed away peacefully at her

home on Dec. 22 after a long battle with cancer.

Piper Lene' Henry was born Nov. 5, 1952, in Lubbock. She

graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving, and received a

degree in elementary education from Texas Tech. Lene' was a

kindergarten teacher at First Methodist's School for Little

Children, and she was a children's Sunday school director at

Mobberly Baptist Church. She taught a generation of children

how to read and love the Lord, two of the greatest gifts that

anyone can give. Her faith in the Lord was a source of

strength and encouragement to her family, her friends and to

everyone who knew her.

Lene' is survived by her husband of 26 years, James W. 'Bill'

Nuckols; her children, Janai Nuckols of Irving and David

Nuckols of Missoula, Mont.; her mother, Georgia Joyce Monkres

and husband Gene Monkres of Arlington; her brother Zane Henry

of Lubbock; her father R.C. Henry of Lubbock, and her aunts,

uncles and friends.

WOW!!!! This is a shocker. I was not aware of Lena's passing. She was ALWAYS so sweet to me in school and fun to be around. I send my sympathy's to her family and know that one day you will see her again.
